I’m really glad that I got the opportunity to be a part of SPACE. Honestly, I never expected to be a part of it. Even in high school, tutoring and all that jazz really didn’t seem like it would be my kind of thing. Who really wants to spend their personal time focusing on education, especially the education of random strangers?! SPACE opened my eyes to the bigger community issue that we face. No matter who we are, transfer or high school student, first-year or recent graduate, we are all striving together to get a good education. By empowering others, we are empowering the whole community, and in turn also empowering ourselves. It’s a cycle and I’m glad to be a part of it.
