What a great field trip! We did a people of color tour of LA, went to Watts Towers, had some workshops at USC, and took a tour of the campus. Students dialoguing about how they can make change in their community. Beautiful.

Samahang Pilipino Advancing Community Empowerment (SPACE) engages at-risk, historically underrepresented, under served high school and community college students, supporting their efforts toward academic and personal achievement. Formed in 2000, SPACE has supported hundreds of students through comprehensive services - peer advising, peer tutoring, student workshops, parent workshops, and field trips. Our services are geared towards promoting academic success, personal well-being, community engagement, and the formulation of solid post-secondary plans.
Currently, our services are offered at John Marshall High school, Belmont High school, and El Camino College.
